Dr. Baris Koc is orthopedist en werkt op de dienst Orthopedie. Hij legt zich toe op kniechirurgie met expertise in gewrichtssparende behandelingen (standscorrecties, kruisbandreconstructies en kraakbeenherstel) en knieprothese chirurgie.
Hij volgde zijn opleiding aan de Universiteit Maastricht en liep stage in Maastricht Universitair Medisch Centrum (MUMC+), Zuyderland Medisch Centrum en VieCuri Medisch Centrum. Hij bekwaamde zich verder in 'knee joint preservation and arthroplasty' aan University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (VS), Aspetar (Qatar), Acibadem (Turkije) en Ospedale Sacro Cuore Don Calabria (Italië).
Dr. Baris Koc werkt aan een PhD met als titel 'From anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction to recovery'. Hij ontving grants voor studies naar 'Blood flow restriction training following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction' en 'Defining the optimal knee flexion angle for medial meniscus posterior root repair'.
